MARC MEN: Marc Jacobs International has appointed Julien Soyez as its communications director for Europe and the Middle East, effective March 16. Based in Paris, Soyez is to oversee the brand’s press, digital, advertising, and events in the region and report to Billy Daley, senior vice president of global communications. Previously, Soyez was men’s and women’s products press director at Louis Vuitton, when Jacobs was the French brand’s artistic director. Soyez began his career in 2001 at Fendi, which like Vuitton and Jacobs is controlled by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, and moved to Vuitton in 2009. In a related move, Paris-based communications manager Hugo Scott is to become Jacobs’ director of special projects in New York, also reporting to Daley.
