The Duchess of Cambridge Visits Turner Contemporary Gallery

BY THE SEA: The Duchess of Cambridge headed to Kent, on the southeastern English coast, Wednesday for an official visits to the Turner Contemporary gallery in Margate and to Resort Studios, a second gallery, in Cliftonville. The young royal, who is due to give birth to her second child next month, met with gallery officials, artists and school children from Holy Trinity and St. John’s Primary School. Wearing a black-and-white animal print Hobbs coat, she previewed the “Self: Image and Identity” exhibition, which includes the last self-portrait by Sir Anthony Van Dyck. The painting was recently acquired by the National Portrait Gallery, of which she is a patron.
