Puma Appoints General Manager for EMEA

PARIS — Puma has named Martyn Bowen as general manager of EMEA, effective immediately. Bowen replaces Volfango Bondi, who served as general manager for Europe and has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Bowen was previously responsible for Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India (EEMEA) as regional general manager. He will now oversee the management of both regions (Europe and EEMEA), “which will help to further increase efficiency and a seamless alignment of the respective sales teams,” the company said on Wednesday, adding that the merger was “in line with Puma’s mission to become the fastest sports brand in the world.” Bowen joined the group in 1995 and has held various positions since then. The British national and former athlete with a degree in Latin, Greek and philosophy from the University of Oxford will be based in Herzogenaurach, Germany, and report to Puma’s chief executive officer Bjørn Gulden.
