CATE TALKS CINDERELLA AND BABIES: “We’re besotted,” Cate Blanchett said on the blue carpet at the Australian premiere of “Cinderella” at Sydney’s State Theatre on Sunday, speaking about her newly adopted American baby daughter, Edith Vivian Patricia Upton. Wearing a color blocked violet and coral dress from Roksanda Ilincic’s pre-fall collection, Blanchett was accompanied by husband Andrew Upton and their three boys Roman, Dashiell and Ignatius. “Look, I wish I could say I did it for my children, but selfishly I did it for myself,” said Blanchett of joining the cast of Disney’s live action remake of the classic fairy tale in the role of evil stepmother Lady Tremayne. “I still can’t quite believe I get to dress up for a living. But when you’re entering a storybook universe and you do it with [production designer] Dante Ferretti and [costume designer] Sandy Powell as your visual partners, it’s fantastic.
