JENNI KAYNE LINKS WITH POTTERY BARN KIDS: Jenni Kayne, the Los Angeles-based designer known for her upscale sportswear basics and lifestyle stores in Los Angeles and Montecito, is linking with Pottery Barn Kids to design a collection of bedding, decorative items, toys and furniture launching in June at the company’s 85 company-owned stores in the United States, Canada and Australia and online. It’s a first for Kayne, who launched her clothing label in 2003 at age 19. Now a mother of two and “Rip + Tan” blogger, Kayne said she’s always loved designing small home spaces. “I used my children’s rooms and experiences shopping as a mother as my starting point. For girls I love the idea of a little Parisian attic that’s like a jewel box, a little whimsical,” she said of the white and natural hues she peppered with pops of pink, yellow, peach and blue butterfly motifs. While the girls’ offerings include Liberty print suitcases and a cat doll dressed in a faux fur vest, the rest of the nursery and furniture items, including a teepee, are gender neutral. “We’re constantly exploring ways to bring a fresh perspective and attract new customers at the same time,” said Jennifer
