The Duchess of Cambridge Visits the Set of Downton Abbey

DOWNTON DUCHESS: The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Ealing Studios in London, where many of the indoor scenes for ITV’s “Downton Abbey” are filmed. A fan of the show, the Duchess of Cambridge was greeted by Lord Julian Fellowes, the creator and writer and met with the cast including Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern, who play Lord and Lady Grantham; Maggie Smith, who plays Lady Violet, and Phyllis Logan, who plays Mrs. Hughes. According to Kensington Palace, the visit was arranged to commemorate the success of the show and the pregnant royal wore a wore a white JoJo Maman Bébé coat as she toured the set and watched a scene being filmed for the upcoming season.
