Calvin Klein to Sponsor Exhibit in Central Park

Calvin Klein Collection will sponsor Drifting in Daylight, a springtime art exhibition winding through New York’s Central Park presented by public arts organization Creative Time, and Central Park Conservancy. The free exhibition, which opens May 15, aims to draw visitors into the park’s North End, much of which has been restored by the Conservancy. Co-curated by Cara Starke and Nato Thompson, the six-weekend show runs on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m., until June 20. “We are honored to be able to take part in such an exciting event, which both showcases and supports New York City alongside Creative Time,” said Melisa Goldie, chief marketing officer of Calvin Klein Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PVH Corp. She added the company is looking forward to celebrating the Central Park Conservancy’s 35th anniversary “by supporting the initiative and bringing visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in these incredible works of art within one of the world’s most iconic parks.” Artists including Marc Bamuthi Joseph, Spencer Finch, Alicia Framis, Nina Katchadourian, Ragnar Kjartansson, David Levine, Karyn Olivier and Lauri Stallings will invite guests to explore Northern Central Park landscape features such as the Harlem Meer, Great Hill and Conservatory Gardens.
