CHAMPAGNE CIRCUS: On Friday night, the circus was in town. To fete the launch of its newest Champagne iteration, the Rosé Vintage 2004, Dom Pérignon hosted a grand cabaret for the fashion set — considerate it the Ringling Brothers’ more sophisticated, older sister. Revelers, including Dennis Basso, Stella Schnabel, Cory Kennedy, Johannes Huebl, Devon Windsor, Timo Weiland and Arden Wohl, packed into the East Village’s Walter de Maria space, transformed into an interactive playground swathed in pink light. The event doubled as a final hurrah for the former studio, now owned by Peter Brant, which will soon undergo a major architectural renovation. Among the evening’s many attractions: a live marching band, stilt-walkers, twerking ballerinas and accordion-playing mimes — and that was just the opening act. For the main attraction? A full-scale cabaret show replete with burlesque dancers, singing clowns, high-step dancers and jugglers. The star of the evening was the Champagne itself, which was free-flowing and served in generously portioned wine glasses.
