Alexis Bittar Names Chief Financial Officer

The Alexis Bittar team continues to grow. The Brooklyn-based jewelry company has appointed Guy Sommerhalder as chief financial officer and chief operating officer, effective immediately. In his role, Sommerhalder will oversee finance, product development and operation functions, and report directly to company president Taryn Laeben. “[Sommerhalder] will be critical in helping us realize the next chapter here at Alexis Bittar,” Laebern said of the appointment. “He has deep experience in building infrastructure and managing high growth companies.” Sommerhalder joins the company from Reed Krakoff, which suspended operations last month, where he also served as cfo and coo. Prior to Reed Krakoff, he worked as chief operating officer for Hugo Boss of the Americas and additionally spent 15 years within the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey group in a variety of roles.
