Will Leather Adding Stores in San Francisco and Detroit

Will Leather Goods is further expanding its retail footprint. The Eugene, Ore.-based accessories brand will open a 2,000-square-foot store at 568 Hayes Street in San Francisco this summer. The store, which is being designed by Architects II in collaboration with Will’s chief executive officer William Adler, is scheduled to open on July 1. Then in September, Adler will open a unit in his former hometown of Detroit. The 9,000-square-foot store will be located at 4120 2nd Avenue in the city’s Midtown district. “Detroit is the perfect backdrop to bring together my past, the present and future of Will Leather Goods,” Adler said. “The city is a metropolis of creativity firmly rooted in American history and we’re delighted to be part of the growth of Midtown.” The Detroit store will be located in the former Tomboy grocery store building. Adler is working with local architects McIntosh Poris Associates on the design of the space. When these two stores open later this year, it will mark the eighth unit for the company, which also operates three units in Portland, Ore., and one in Eugene, as well as shops in New York City and Venice Beach, Calif.
