Nada Lantz Krasnow, founder and chief executive officer of Lantz-a-Lot Inc., Cosmetic Architects, died April 13 at her home in Palm Beach following a year-long battle with cancer. Lantz Krasnow was 53. Born in Toronto, Lantz Krasnow moved to the U.S. in 1974. She began her cosmetics career more than 27 years ago with L’Oréal and Parfums Stern. In the late Eighties, she worked with then-emerging brand La Prairie. Lantz Krasnow established her own consulting and distribution business called Lantz-a-Lot Inc. in 1997, initially focusing on establishing European niche prestige brands in skin care, body and hair in the U.S. “When she started her company, she had worked with La Prairie for many years,” said Nadia Yousif, Lantz Krasnow’s sister. “She took some time off and she went to Europe and she said, ‘Why are all these amazing brands here and not in the U.S.?’ So her idea was to bring brands to the U.S. It wasn’t a distributor model, it was a management model and she introduced companies to the right buyers.” Today, her initial concept has organically evolved to encompass full-brand management, training and retail marketing.
