Kohl’s Corp. is charging ahead with its vision for beauty, but without BeautyBank by its side. Kohl’s and the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. ended their partnership last year, as the department store was developing a larger beauty concept filled with a broader mix of national brands, said Kevin Mansell, Kohl’s chairman, chief executive officer and president. Over the past two years, Kohl’s has introduced more than 30 beauty brands, including Lorac, Pür Minerals, Cargo Cosmetics, H2O Plus and, most recently, Bliss. Prior to the changes, much of Kohl’s assortment of skin-care and cosmetics products relied on exclusive brands created by BeautyBank, namely Flirt and American Beauty cosmetics, and Grassroots skin care. Lauder launched the trio of brands at Kohl’s in 2004. Lauder later created for Kohl’s a color collection from designer Vera Wang called Simply Vera, which launched in 2012. Lauder declined to comment.
