Jewelry designer Liseanne Frankfurt is bringing the luxurious whimsy of her LFrank line to a new collection of lingerie. Launching in her new store, the 15-piece collection of silk chiffon and satin pieces ranges from $346 to $1,950 retail. Frankfurt based the collection on some of her favorite pieces, such as an antique kimono she bought in college. Styles include wrap-style dressing gowns, floor-length double-layer slip dresses, bias-cut half-slips, briefs, knickers and stretch silk bralettes. Pieces that work outside the boudoir include a velvet bed jacket lined in silk and a wool-cashmere-mink blend cape trimmed in French lace. Frankfurt used jewel tones like blue tanzanite and pink tourmaline for solids, as well as a variety of poetry-inspired Liberty prints. Other touches include keyhole backs and lace veiled between layers of chiffon. “I’m a jewelry designer, so details are where I live,” she said, noting the tiny buttons and bra strap sliders double plated in 18-karat gold. Like her jewelry, the lingerie is made in Los Angeles. “I’m lucky to have friends like Gregory Parkinson and Pamela Barish who make beautiful clothes here that I wear to work, and I don’t want to go home and put on something that’s made in China,” she
