Petco Taps Former Abercrombie Exec

Pet supply retailer Petco has named Michael Nuzzo its new chief financial officer starting immediately. Nuzzo is fresh from 4mom where he served as chief administrative officer of the self-described “high-tech baby gear” brand. Prior to that he was executive vice president at GNC Holdings Inc. But retailers and vendors may recall Nuzzo as a senior vice president of finance — and other management roles — at Abercrombie & Fitch Inc. In a statement Petco chief executive officer Jim Myers said Nuzzo “brings a successful track record of leadership for both public and privately-held companies and will play a key role in helping us further refine and execute our long-term growth strategy.” Petco operates over 1,400 stores in North America as well as 10 Pooch Hotel “destinations for pet daycare, boarding and spa services.”
