Sears Determines Two Sites for Primark

Sears Holdings Corp. said two stores in Massachusetts will now include Primark stores. The retailer in October signed a lease agreement with European fashion retailer Primark for seven standalone stores. The agreement provides for Sears to lease out space in seven locations, with six still to include a Sears store presence. The company on Tuesday said one store will be at Burlington Mall in Burlington, Mass., and the other one will be at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, Mass. In the Burlington Mall, Sears and its detached Sears Auto Center will continue to operate about 196,000 gross square feet of space on the lower level of the mall. Primark will occupy 73,000 gross square feet on the second level of the mall. At South Shore Plaza, Sears and its Auto Center will occupy 138,000 gross square feet on the lower and second levels of the mall. Primark will take over 71,000 gross square feet, mostly on the second level of the mall. The other Sears locations with Primark as a tenant include: Danbury Fair, Danbury, Conn.; Freehold Raceway Mall, Freehold, N.J.; Staten Island Mall, Staten Island, N.Y., and Willow Grove Mall, Willow Grove, Pa. A seventh location at the King of Prussia Mall
