GIORGIO’S MILAN LOVE SONG: A spring collectors’ edition of Condé Nast Traveler, published in Italian and English in a nod to the upcoming universal Expo, focuses on Milan’s hot spots and secret haunts. It also features a valentine to the city penned by longtime resident Giorgio Armani, who appears on the magazine’s cover seated on a red pouf in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The designer and luxury shopping arcade are referred to as “city icons.” In a section titled “My Own Milan,” Armani notes that: “With its industrious sobriety, [Milan] certainly represents me.” “It is, at least for me, an ideal place to live and work, without the drawbacks of a megalopolis and with the advantages of a metropolis.
